Indian Stock Market and Investment

India Stock and Investment in the recent years, shows the overall boom in the Indian stock business. The liberal policies adopted by the Indian government and the recent decision of the RBI to allow foreign investment up to 49% in stock exchanges have encouraged investing in Indian stock market.

India Stock and Investment is becoming increasingly global with the country being the fourth largest country in the world in terms of purchasing power parity. The volume of trade have been experiencing a steady rise with the Indian stock market attracting considerable investment from overseas investors. Nearly, 1,000 foreign institutional investors have found to have registered with market regulator SEBI.

The rapid growth of the stock markets in India are attracting many global investors like the Deutsche Boerse, Europe's top stock exchange has signed an agreement to buy 5 percent equity in the Bombay Stock Exchange. The foreign stock exchanges have recently involved themselves in the equity stakes in the Over the Counter Exchange of India. The greater participation of the foreign investors have also encouraged the sharing of the technology and trading expertise with the Indian exchanges.

* Impact of investing in Indian stock market:
There is a need for regional stock exchanges to consolidate for offering a more regulated stock market to the investors. This would make the Indian stock markets more accessible to the foreign investors. So far, nine exchanges have come together and signed a memorandum of understanding with the National Stock Exchange in order to extend their trading platform.


In the recent years, stock watching has become a fixation for those interested in the stock market business in India. The growing participation of the foreign investors have encouraged three national business television news channels in India and another is still in the planning. Moreover, to boost India Stock and Investment and to inform the investors with the current updates of the stock market in India , four national daily business newspapers and dozens of business magazines are published.
